For the last 25 years The Saw Doctors from Tuam in the West of Ireland have written and performed the music which has become the soundtrack for the children growing up in the Hickman household.
Jim’s son Patrick suffers from Cystic Fibrosis and raising funds for research into this disease has always been a priority for the Hickman family.
As President Jim has secured the support of his colleagues in the Rotary Club to undertake a major project in raising the profile of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and fundraising for much needed research into the disease.
The project will culminate in an ambitious attempt to climb Croagh Patrick on Saturday 26th May 2012. Everyone who is up for the craic is invited to take part.
All inclusive packages are available at £300 to include return flights from Birmingham to Knock, coach transfers and two nights accommodation in County Mayo.
The trip will conclude with a huge party in Castlebar with live music from a traditional Irish band.
Participants are invited to raise sponsorship and all proceeds will be paid over to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Unfortunately owing to the risk of cross infection anyone suffering from Cystic Fibrosis is not permitted to take part in this event.
